If you are applying to renew a business licence for a short- term rental, bed & breakfast, guest house or temporary accommodation, please note that the District is taking a more proactive approach to bylaw enforcement. There are a few changes to note at this time:

1) Licence renewals in this category will be subject to a screening process that will include zoning review that may include a site inspection. Renewals will not be automatic.

2) Licence fees have increased to assist with enforcement. At the November 24, 2016, special Council meeting, “District of Tofino Business Licence Regulation Amendment Bylaw No. 858.08, 2016” was adopted; the amendment increases fees in the Tourist Commercial class to assist with enfocement costs.
