LIQUOR PRIMARY LICENCE APPLICATION
ACCENT INNS INC DBA HOTEL ZED - 1258 Pacific Rim Hwy
Accent Inns Inc DBA Hotel Zed has applied to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) to add 3 liquor primary areas additional to the current food primary liquor licencing. The owner-applicant is seeking a resolution from District of Tofino Council in support of the application to add liquor primary licencing areas to a capacity of 91 persons with hours of liquor service from 9am-12am.
As part of the LCRB’s review process, the District is responsible for gathering the views of nearby residents and businesses, commenting on LCRB’s mandatory considerations and submitting a recommendation on whether the application should be approved. In the case of a liquor primary license, the District of Tofino must take into account the location, the person capacity and hours of liquor service of the establishment. Mandatory considerations for this type of application are: 1) the impact of noise on the community within the vicinity of the establishment and 2) the general impact on the community if the application is approved.
If you believe to have interests affected by the proposed liquor licence application, please submit a letter of support or opposition that includes your name, address of affected business or residence, and comments. Please indicate if you wish an opportunity to speak before Council during the December 8th, 2020 regular meeting; when the community feedback and application is to be considered.
Please submit letters by 4:00pm on Monday, November 30, 2020 as follows:
