Tofino Recreation Commission
At the Council meeting held December 10, 2019, staff were directed to conduct a review of the establishing Bylaw for the Tofino Recreation Commission to determine alignment with District goals as expressed in corporate planning documents including Council’s Strategic Plan. This process will begin in 2020 in consultation with Commission members.
The role of the Tofino Recreation Commission is to advise Tofino Council on policies and procedures regarding the operation of recreational services, special events and cultural programs and services for the community. The Commission reviews plans for the development of parks, playing fields and recreational or cultural facilities. Learn more about the Commission's functions in the Bylaw.

Who We Are
The Tofino Recreation Commission is established and its members appointed by the Tofino Council. The Commission consists of eight members of the public.
The District's Recreation Programmer serves as staff liaison.
