SUMMARY:West Coast Sandcastle Contest
DESCRIPTION:The third annual Sandcastle Competition is upon us. On Sunday, August 31st, we will once again be creating amazing sand sculptures on Cox Bay. We are thrilled to announce that this year we are fundraising for the Tofino Recreation Department’s Kids Access Fund (KAF). The KAF provides bursaries for families through partial or full payment of fees for child and youth recreation programs. An annual bursary of up to $500 per child is available through this incredible program. We will be donating all admission proceeds to the KAF, and we will also have a donation jar for additional donations. Our goal is to raise enough funds for at least two children to have access to the KAF.\n\nSchedule of Events\n8:30 AM – 3 PM: Registration and building sand creations\n3  – 4 PM: Judging, food, and live music\n4 – 5 PM: Prizes awarded\n\nRegistration is on the beach in front of Long Beach Lodge and opens at 8:30 AM. Sandcastle/sculpture building begins by 9 AM. $25 Entry fee is payable in cash or EFT.\n\nMORE DETAILS\n
