DESCRIPTION:The District of Tofino, Tourism Tofino and the Chamber of Commerce invite residents and businesses to attend the Let’s Talk Water Open House on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at the Tofino Community Hall.\nThis drop-in event is an opportunity to learn more about how the District is addressing both short and long-term water security needs, and the work underway to support Tofino’s future water supply.\nThe open house comes as the District has recently shortlisted three potential expanded or alternative water source options and continues preparations for the summer season, when water conservation is often top of mind.\nAttendees will have the opportunity to:\n\nLearn about the District’s current water system\nLearn about the three shortlisted options being explored\nSpeak directly with District staff and ask questions\nBetter understand seasonal water conservation efforts\nPick up water conservation materials for businesses to display or share if conservation stages are introduced\nShare feedback and community perspectives\n\nDistrict staff will be available throughout the event to provide information and discuss all things water.\nFor more information, visit Talk Tofino at www.talktofino.ca/water\n
