DESCRIPTION:The District of Tofino Recreation Department would like to invite you to the Recreation Expo happening on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Village Green.\nThis exciting day of activities will showcase fun ways to stay active throughout the year. Here is the schedule of events:\n11 AM – 6 PM: Inaugural Tofino 3v3 Basketball Tournament on the basketball court. Cheer on participants in the U14, U17, and Adult divisions as they compete for the title of Local Legends.\n1 PM: Tuff City Jiu Jitsu demonstration.\n01:30 PM: Pacific Rim Cheer demonstration\n04:30 – 05:15 PM: All Levels Yoga session led by Mackenzie Coombe. Relax and wind down your day with a calming yoga practice.\n6 – 8 PM: Roller Disco on Tofino’s newest and freshly paved tennis/pickleball court. Please arrive early, as free rental skates are limited and will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.\nThis day of recreation and activity is part of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, aiming to crown Canada’s most active community and win $100,000 for local sport and physical activity initiatives.
