The District of Tofino is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Temporary Bylaw Enforcement Officer.
Under the general direction of the Manager of Protective Services, this position emphasizes public education and relations offering a unique opportunity to work both as an enforcement officer and community liaison. Work involves providing information and assistance to the public, carrying out regular patrols, gathering evidence and preparing all documentation necessary for effective enforcement of District bylaws.

Hours of Work and Salary:
This is a temporary position based on 40 hours per week with a term starting as soon as possible and ending on Friday, October 15, 2021. Based on operational needs, Bylaw Enforcement Officers must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends between 6:00am and 1:00am. The hourly wage for this position is $32.00, plus an additional 14.8% in lieu of benefits and statutory holidays. This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $28.80. The position is subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between CUPE Local 118 and the District of Tofino.
