The District of Tofino is pleased to announce that the Mackenzie Beach Road Washrooms project is complete, and the washrooms are now open to the public.

This new facility enhances accessibility and convenience for all visitors with the following key features:

• Two fully accessible, single-stall washrooms
• Outdoor shower for a quick rinse after enjoying the beach.
• Water bottle filling station and drinking fountain to stay hydrated & refreshed.

This project was entirely funded by the Province of British Columbia’s Resort Municipality Initiative, which supports small tourism-based communities like Tofino in maintaining and growing regional tourism.

This project complements the Mackenzie Beach Road Improvements project, which was completed in 2024 and included:

• Paving Mackenzie Beach Road
• Extending the Multi-Use Path
• Enhancing public access to Mackenzie Beach

Together, these upgrades improve the overall experience and comfort for everyone visiting Mackenzie Beach.
