Resting in Peace
Tofino Seaview Cemetery
The District of Tofino owns and operates Seaview Cemetery along with a historic cemetery site on Morpheus Island. Seaview Cemetery is available for veterans, residents and non-residents as a final resting place for their loved ones. Seaview Cemetery is located two kilometres past the Tourist Information Centre along the Pacific Rim Hwy, offering traditional in-ground burial for both caskets and cremated remains.
Morpheus Island
Clayoquot’s first European cemetery is located one kilometre off Tofino and at the entrance of Browning Passage, known as Clayoquot Cemetery Company, then later and currently as Morpheus Island. Though not currently used by the public, the graves located in a meadow on the island include members of Clayoquot’s first English, Norwegian and Japanese communities.
Please refer to the Tofino Cemetery Bylaw for cemetery services, interment arrangements and fees.
