Pacific Rim Whale Festival: March 16-24

The District of Tofino is proud to support the 36th Annual Pacific Rim Whale Festival from March 16 – 24, 2024.
This long-standing community event celebrates the annual migration of grey whales as they travel from their breeding grounds in Baja California past the shores of Tofino & Claqyoquot Sound on their way to their summer feeding grounds in Alaska. The festival aims to educate, inspire, and entertain through various family-friendly events.

Parade of Whales & Wonder: March 17 | 10:00 – 10:45 AM | Downtown Tofino
Watch the migration of creative floats travel from the Wickaninnish Community School along the downtown core.

Eco-Market: March 17 | 11 AM – 2 PM | Tofino Community Hall
Right after the Parade of Whales and Wonder, head to the Tofino Community Hall for the Eco-Market. The hall will be filled with many local small businesses selling unique products, thrift items, and more.
Maritime Kids Day: March 19 | 10 AM – 2 PM | Tofino Community Hall
This event has been a favourite for many years offering a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities for kids and families.
Baleen Bash: March 23 | 8 PM – 1 AM | Tofino Community Hall
Wrap up this year's festival with a party at the Baleen Bash featuring live music from the Lazy Syrup Orchestra & DJ Jess Rabbit.
