Peace & Quiet
Tofino is a place where residents and visitors value peace, nature, and community well-being. Please be considerate of your neighbours by keeping noise to a reasonable level.
Under the Public Property Use Regulation Bylaw, loud or unnecessary noise that disturbs others is not permitted between 10 PM and 7 AM.
Continuous noise from construction or property maintenance is only allowed between 7 AM and 10 PM, unless otherwise approved by Council.
The bylaw also restricts excessive noise from vehicles, amplified music, instruments, or other devices, and protects quiet zones near the hospital.
Respecting these regulations helps keep Tofino a calm and enjoyable place for everyone.
