Audible Warning Siren Testing

On Friday, October 6, 2023, The District of Tofino will be conducting a live audibility assessment of the Tsunami Alerting System (TAS) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at all four beach locations. This siren will be significantly louder than previous system uses to test for audibility across several locations.

In the case of an actual emergency occurring during this testing window, the District will send out further alerts to residents via VoyentAlert! to update accordingly. If you are not currently signed up for the District of Tofino's local alert system, you can register at Tofino.ca/emergency
