The District of Tofino is seeking contractors and instructors to lead various recreation programs starting in January 2025.

These programs offer opportunities to share skills, inspire others, and contribute to the community's vibrancy. Programs may be hosted at the Tofino Community Hall or Wickaninnish Community School, though other venues may also be considered.

The District is particularly interested in individuals with experience working with children under five years old and youth between 12 and 18 years of age. However, anyone with a unique skill or passion they would like to share is encouraged to express their interest.

Examples of programs include:

• Sports and fitness classes
• Arts and crafts workshops
• Educational seminars
• Youth leadership and development courses

Program leaders can receive compensation or volunteer, with reasonable costs associated with the program covered by the District. Flexible scheduling and program lengths can be discussed to suit the availability of instructors.

Applicants with relevant certifications or teaching experience are especially encouraged to apply. The District welcomes creative proposals, and community members are invited to get involved.
