Tourism Tofino and the District of Tofino are pleased to share the first draft of the Destination Stewardship Plan for community review and feedback.

Please be advised that the Coastal Fire Centre will be prohibiting Category 2 (back yard) and Category 3 (industrial) open fires effective 12 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025.⁠

The District of Tofino would like to advise the public of upcoming filming activities scheduled between May 23 and June 5, 2025 on Cox Bay & Chesterman Beach.

A reminder that property taxes are due by end of day Tuesday, July 2, 2025. A 10% penalty will be applied to all unpaid property taxes received after this date.

Beach access to Cox Bay – North from 1431 Pacific Rim Highway will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 20, 2025, while construction crews build a new accessible beach ramp.

The District of Tofino is inviting professional mural artists to submit proposals for a new permanent public mural at the sports courts at the Village Green.

The Rip Curl Nationals return to Cox Bay from May 9–11, 2025, with a free shuttle available on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

The District of Tofino is pleased to share that the Tonquin Trail Bridge Replacement Project is now complete. Trail access through the area has now reopened.

The District of Tofino wishes to remind residents that Downtown Pay Parking will be effective from May 1 to October 31, 2025, from 9 AM to 6 PM daily.
