Life at the End of the Road

The community of Tofino is situated in Tla-o-qui-aht territory at the tip of the Esowista Peninsula in Clayoquot Sound on Vancouver Island’s west coast and is home to 2000+ residents.

Be Bear Smart

Bears that become highly food-conditioned and habituated to humans are often destroyed because of concerns for human safety. Early reporting of a bear in a neighbourhood helps address the underlying issues before it becomes a problem.
