The District of Tofino is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Utility Operator Lead.

Within the Infrastructure & Public Works Division, the Utility Operator Lead reports to the Utility Operator Foreperson and is responsible for duties involved in safely operating and maintaining the District’s infrastructure system, including the water distribution system, the water treatment system, the wastewater collection system and the wastewater treatment plant. The lead will also provide guidance and support to the utility operators in continued training, mentorship, and professional development. The lead is expected to act professionally and ensure facilities are operated in accordance with EOCP guidelines and applicable standards and regulations
which are also outlined in district permits and SOP’s.
