Report a Bylaw Violation

This form is intended for reporting non-urgent bylaw concerns.

If a situation involves:

• Immediate danger to people or property

• Criminal activity

• An urgent public safety concern

Please contact Emergency Services by calling 911 or the RCMP non-emergency line at 250-725-3242, rather than submitting a bylaw complaint.

The District encourages respectful and neighbourly communication where it is safe and appropriate to do so. However, residents should never place themselves at risk or attempt to resolve situations that feel unsafe or confrontational. Submitting a complaint allows concerns to be reviewed through an established and impartial process.

Complaints may be submitted by completing the online complaint form below.

Anonymous complaints are not accepted, as bylaw investigations must be supported by sufficient information to allow for proper review and, where necessary, follow‑up or legal proceedings.

If assistance is required to complete the form, or if online submission is not accessible, individuals may contact Bylaw Services by email.

Note: If a matter proceeds to court, the complainant’s name and other personal information may be disclosed, and they may be required to provide evidence as a witness.
