The District of Tofino is replacing the aging bridge on the Tonquin Trail with a new, safer steel bridge.

• Construction starts April 7, 2025
• Trail access at Peterson Drive will be closed during construction
• The trail will reopen in May 2025

This upgrade will enhance safety, support future trail maintenance, and ensure the trail remains accessible for years to come.
