The resurfacing of the Village Green Basketball Court is now complete. The courts are open and ready for play.

Resurfacing addressed fading boundary lines, cracks, and surface depressions. These issues raised safety concerns and reduced overall playability. The improvements will enhance the quality and longevity of the facility for all users.

New basketball hoops will be installed at the courts in the coming weeks.

This investment reflects Council’s commitment to building recreational infrastructure that supports the community’s evolving needs.

The project was funded by the Resort Municipality Initiative, a Provincial program that supports small, tourism-focused municipalities like Tofino in developing and diversifying tourism infrastructure, delivering memorable visitor experiences, and promoting sustainable tourism practices and products.

The District thanks the community for their patience while the court was closed during resurfacing.
