The District of Tofino is improving stormwater drainage along Olsen Road to address long-standing flooding impacts and provide a more reliable drainage system for the area. Construction will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and is expected to be completed by mid-October.

During construction, residents can expect:

• Single-lane alternating traffic on Olsen Road
• Limited street parking
• Continued property, pedestrian and cycling access
• Work generally Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM

Additional traffic impacts are expected on Campbell Street from approximately October 5 to 15 while crews complete the stormwater crossing. The District will provide further notice before this work begins.
