The District of Tofino invites the community to celebrate the newly renovated commercial kitchen at the Tofino Community Hall on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM.

The recent renovation transformed the former kitchen into a fully operational commercial kitchen designed to better support community programs, cultural gatherings, rentals, food preparation and emergency response.

Drop in anytime to explore the new space and enjoy an evening focused on food, community and connection, with opportunities to:

• Tour the new commercial kitchen
• Sample small bites prepared by local chefs, available while quantities last
• Watch a jam-preserving demonstration with the Tofino Community Food Initiative at 6 PM
• Sign up for future cooking and food-related workshops
• Learn how emergency food planning helps keep the community fed during an emergency
• Visit community information booths and giveaways
• Enter to win door prizes

Local organizations will also be on site, including the Tofino Community Food Initiative, Tofino Co-op, Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild, Pacific Rim Hospice Society, Clayoquot Biosphere Trust and others.

The event is free and open to the community. Everyone is welcome to drop by, see the renewed kitchen and learn more about how the space can support local programs, organizations and community activities.
