The District of Tofino invites members of the community to apply to serve on the Council Remuneration Advisory Group.

The Council Remuneration Advisory Group is an independent, citizen-based advisory body established at the end of each Council term. Its role is to review Council member remuneration and provide recommendations to Council for consideration during the following Council term.

The Advisory Group reviews compensation for service as Mayor and Councillor and considers whether the current framework remains appropriate, transparent, and aligned with comparable municipalities.

The Advisory Group will consist of three members, as follows:

• One individual who has previously served on Council in the District of Tofino
• One business owner operating within the District of Tofino
• One member at large who resides within the District of Tofino
