The District of Tofino wishes to remind residents that Downtown Pay Parking will be effective from May 1 to October 31, 2024, from 9 AM to 6 PM daily.
What Does This Mean For You?
Residents of Tofino, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ahousaht, and Hesquiaht
Receive free Downtown Pay Parking with an annual Beach Pay Parking permit. No further steps are required if you are registered for annual Beach Pay Parking.
Downtown Tofino Residents
If you live in the downtown core, you must display a decal on your vehicle, which grants you access to parking on your street. Each household receives one free decal, with a second decal costing $150. Decals must be collected at the Municipal Hall with proof of address and ID before May 1 to avoid penalties.
Residents of Ucluelet, Port Alberni, and Alberni Clayoquot Regional District
Receive Downtown Pay Parking by purchasing an annual Beach Pay Parking permit for $60.
Visitors
There are three ways to pay per hour: using coins at a physical meter, using the Honk Mobile app, or PayByPhone by calling 1-888-680-7275.
Note—The Municipal Hall parking lots are not part of the Downtown Pay Parking program. These lots are designed for longer-term parking.
