Downtown Pay Parking Update

The Downtown Pay Parking program has concluded for the season and will return on May 1, 2025.
From November 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, parking in designated downtown pay parking zones is free and does not require an annual parking permit or hourly payment.
Beach Pay Parking Reminder
Beach Pay Parking remains in effect year-round from 8 AM to 11 PM daily at all District beach access points, including:
- Tonquin Beach
- Mackenzie Beach (Coming this fall - pay parking on Mackenzie Beach Road)
- Chesterman Beach
- Cox Bay
Free Resident Parking Permits
If you are a resident of Tofino, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ahousaht, or Hesquiaht, you can get a free annual Beach Pay Parking permit, which also gives you free access to downtown pay parking when it resumes on May 1, 2025.

Pay Parking Revenues Fund Community Initiatives
The revenue generated from pay parking in Tofino supports various community initiatives. Recently, pay parking has helped fund upgrades to the new tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts and the sports fields at the Wickaninnish Community School.
