The District of Tofino is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the casual relief position of Facilities Maintenance Worker.

Reporting to the Labour Foreperson, the Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for cleaning District facilities, washrooms, and fleet vehicles. These duties are generally physical in nature and require the use of simple tools, cleaning products and equipment.

Hours of Work: This is a casual relief position. Specific hours and days of work will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, located within the District of Tofino, between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00pm, Sunday through Saturday. Schedules will be discussed and completed in advance. Must be available on weekends.

Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $31.65, plus an additional 15.2% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays. This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $28.48. This is a union position and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement between CUPE Local 118 and the District of Tofino.
