Effective at noon Pacific Daylight Time on Friday, July 15, 2022, most open burning activities will be prohibited throughout the Coastal Fire Centre’s jurisdiction. This prohibition is being enacted to help reduce wildfire risk and protect public safety.
The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD), the District of Ucluelet, and the District of Tofino will be even more prepared for an emergency after receiving a $65,115 grant from the Province of BC to bolster its regional readiness.
Pursuant to section 127(3) of the Community Charter and section 20 and 21 of the District of Tofino Meeting Procedure Bylaw No. 1229, 2016, notice is hereby given that the regular Council meeting scheduled to be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 4:30 PM is cancelled.
