The District of Tofino invites you to take part in the public consultation process regarding the proposed Prohibition of Plastic Water Bottles 1 Litre & Less.
Prohibiting the sale of plastic water bottles 1 litre & less within the District of Tofino is a focused effort to reduce the amount of plastic bottles entering our waterways, marine environments and beaches.
Before Council considers amendments to the Single-Use Item Regulation Bylaw to include the prohibition of plastic water bottles 1 litre & less, staff have been authorized to gather feedback from the community.
We want your thoughts on these proposed amendments. Are you on board with the proposed ban? Do you have concerns or suggestions? What other exemptions would you like to see? Let us know your thoughts and help guide Council throughout the decision-making process.
The deadline for feedback is January 17, 2024.
