Get Involved in Shaping Tofino's Short-Term Rental Policies
From January 26 to February 26, 2024, the District of Tofino invites the community to participate in the public consultation phase on Short-Term Rental Regulations. There are three main components to the public consultation phase including:
- Talk Tofino
- Community Roundtables
- Town Hall
Talk Tofino
Visit and register at Talk Tofino to learn more about Bill 35, Legal Non-Conforming Use, and the Principal Residence Requirement. On this page, you can also actively participate in the community discussion by leaving your feedback and asking questions.
Community Roundtables
As part of the ongoing public consultation phase on Short-Term Rental Regulations, the District of Tofino is hosting a series of Community Roundtables. These sessions aim to gather diverse perspectives, promote inclusivity, and foster open dialogue on the proposed regulations. Roundtables will take place from February 6 to 8, 2024.
Town Hall
The District of Tofino will host a community town hall on February 12, 2024, from 4 to 6 PM at the Tofino Community Hall. This event will also be streamed live for those who can not attend in person. This will be an opportunity for everyone in the community to gather to learn more about short-term rental regulations and have open discussions with District staff and Council.
Your input directly influences decisions about short-term rentals in Tofino. Act now to be part of this important dialogue, either by participating online at Talk Tofino or by participating in either the Community Roundtables or Town Hall.
The District of Tofino thanks everyone for providing feedback on this important topic.
