From the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure:

In response to the Atmospheric River event that occurred through the weekend Oct 18^th to 21^st, our team performed additional work in the project area including a culvert installation and placement of additional material. As a result, our project timeline has increased slightly, and we now anticipate substantial completion by November 15^th pending any other interruptions and challenges and as weather permits."

Please be advised that essential road base repairs and resurfacing will be taking place on BC Highway 4, approximately two kilometres east of Kennedy Hill.

• When: Monday, September 9th to Friday, November 15, 2024
• Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Traffic Control: Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect 24/7 until repairs are complete.

Motorists travelling through this area should expect minor delays and are encouraged to plan accordingly. It is important to leave extra time for your journey to account for these possible delays.

Drivers are reminded to:
• Follow all posted signs
• Obey traffic control personnel
• Show respect for all roadside workers by slowing down and driving carefully through the construction zone
