Sewer Line Break on Chesterman Beach Road

Public Notice – Sewer Line Break at Chesterman Beach (Middle Entrance)

Please be advised there is a sewer line break at the middle Chesterman beach access. Crews are responding to the break and have closed the public beach access and parking lot at middle Chesterman (Tombolo/Frank Island Entry). The sewer line break is at 1327 Chesterman Beach Road, all road access and other beach access points and parking lots remain open.

Staff have reported the incident to the BC Ministry of Environment and have set up signage on site. There is currently no risk to the health and safety of the public.

Crews are monitoring the site, due to weather, excavation works will begin on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
