The District of Tofino will be completing infrastructure work to improve fire protection coverage in the community. This work includes installing a new fire hydrant near 940 Campbell Street.

As part of this work, a temporary water service disruption will be required on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, between 9 AM & 4 PM.

Impacted Area
Properties along Campbell Street between 740 and 1054, as well as adjacent side streets such as Industrial Way and Yew Wood Road, will experience a full water service interruption during this time.

What to Expect
During the scheduled work period, water service will be unavailable in the affected area. Service will be restored as soon as possible and may return earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

Important Information for Residents
During this period, the District watermain may be drained. Residents are asked to take the following precautions to protect plumbing systems and hot water units:

• Do not use hot water until cold water service has been restored and the hot water tank has had time to refill
• Turn off the breaker for electric hot water tanks for the duration of the shutdown
