The ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht) Days Parade will take place on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM as part of this year’s ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht) Days celebration.

Parade Details

• Start Location: Wickaninnish Community School
• Finish Location: Village Green
• Route: Through the downtown village core of Tofino
• Traffic Impacts: Temporary road closures and redirection in the downtown area. Personnel will be on-site to guide vehicles and ensure safety. Plan ahead if you need to access the downtown area during the parade time.

As a part of the parade, a Flag Raising Ceremony will take place at 11 AM outside the District of Tofino Municipal Office. The ceremony will include the permanent raising of the ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ First Nation flag alongside the Canadian and British Columbia flags. This event marks a meaningful expression of unity, recognition, and respect.

The District of Tofino is proud to support this celebration and invites all residents and visitors to take part in the festivities, recognizing and respecting the deep cultural connections of ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ to these lands and waters surrounding Tofino (n̓ačiqs) since time immemorial.
