Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst performs professional accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical work of considerable complexity. The position coordinates the District’s budget process, supports financial statement and audit preparation, and provides financial analysis and advice to managers and directors throughout the organization.

The Senior Financial Analyst exercises considerable independent judgment and serves as a technical resource on accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis matters. The position supports the District’s long-term financial planning, stewardship, and internal control objectives and may exercise financial authority as directed by the Director of Finance.

Hours of Work: This is a permanent, full-time position based on 40 hours per week, located within the District of Tofino. Regular workday hours are between 8 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Wage: The hourly wage is $48.38. This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be 90% of the regular wage. This is a unionized position subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between CUPE Local 118 and the District of Tofino.
