The Alberni Clayoquot Regional District will start providing the West Coast Transit service on April 2, 2024.

The regional public transit service will run 7 days a week (excluding statutory holidays) connecting Tofino to Esowista, Ty-Histanis, Ucluelet, and hitac̓u. Two buses will be in service on weekdays and one on weekends, making 31 stops along the route. Service will begin at 06:30 AM (weekdays) & 7 AM (weekends), with the last trip ending around 7 PM.

West Coast Transit is a cashless system. Standard fares are $5.50 per trip or $10 for a day pass. Monthly passes can also be purchased for $100. Trips can be paid for via the Token Transit App. Students can access the service for free using their Student ID card. Passes can be purchased in Tofino at the Co-op Grocery Store.
