Canada Post Service Disruption: Alternative Ways to Pay Your Utility Bill
Posted: Nov 15, 2024 | By: Communications
Residents and businesses in Tofino are reminded that payment for Quarter 3 Utility Bills (July 1 – September 30) is due by the end of the day on Friday, November 22, 2024.
Due to the disruption of the Canada Post mail service, residents and businesses are advised to make payments through alternative methods to avoid late penalties. There will be no deadline extension.
To avoid late penalties, please pay your utility bill using one of the following methods:
- In-Person Payment: Bring your bill payment to the Municipal Office during regular office hours. Please note that credit card payments are not accepted.
- 24-Hour Drop-Off Box: Place your payment in an envelope and drop it in the mail slot at the Municipal Office entrance.
- Online Payment: Pay your utility bill through your financial institution’s website. Through this method, it is recommended that payment is made four (4) days before the due date.
- Telephone Banking: Pay through your financial institution's telephone banking service.
