The District of Tofino is pleased to announce that the Wickaninnish Community School Sports Field upgrades are complete. The fields are now open and ready for use.

This joint project with the Pacific Rim School District (SD70) demonstrates a shared commitment to creating safe, versatile, and enjoyable spaces for sports and recreation.

Key improvements include:

• Field expansion to support a wider variety of activities
• Two new ball diamonds with modern dugouts
• New fencing around the diamonds and an expanded field area for safety
• Field levelling to ensure a smoother and safer playing surface

This project was made possible through the support of the Growing Communities Fund, the Pay Parking Reserve Fund (Revenues from Pay Parking), and a land contribution from SD70.

The District thanks the community for their patience while the fields were closed and looks forward to seeing the upgraded space enjoyed for many years to come.
