The Great BC ShakeOut takes place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10:15 AM, giving residents, businesses, schools, and organizations across British Columbia a chance to practise what to do during an earthquake.

Everyone is encouraged to register in advance and take part in the province-wide earthquake drill. At 10:15 AM, participants will practise how to Drop, Cover and Hold On and use the opportunity to review their emergency plans and supplies.

Tonight, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7 PM, ShakeOutBC is hosting a free Ask the Experts: Earthquake Webinar. Hear from experts about earthquake preparedness, safety and what to do when an earthquake strikes.
