2025-2029 Financial Plan

The District of Tofino has begun the 2025-2029 Financial Plan process, and residents are invited to get involved and engage.

Become A Firefighter

The Tofino Volunteer Fire Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer firefighters. The deadline to apply is January 8, 2025.

Source Control Bylaw

The District is currently developing a Source Control Regulation Bylaw and are asking for feedback from residents & businesses.

Throughout the month of December, get into the holiday spirit with a wide range of fun-filled events and activities.

Limits to Growth Policy

On December 10, 2024, the District of Tofino Council adopted the Limits to Growth Policy, which is now in effect.

Mayor Law spoke to the recent beautiful weather. He gave an update on a memorandum of understanding signed by key organizations in the community with regards to the ongoing Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT) negotiations.

Mayor Law and Councillor McMaster attended a follow-up meeting hosted by Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations with resort representatives and the West Coast Hospitality Association to discuss the Memorandum of Understanding and Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT). These discussions were very well received. Discussions were excellent and he looks forward to working closely together.

Mayor Law acknowledged the water collision that occurred earlier in the day and thanked the Ahousaht Auxiliary Coast Guard, the Tofino Coast Guard and first responders. He thanked Councillor Stere who was on the call and wished everyone involved a speedy recovery.
