The District of Tofino has been selected as a recipient of provincial funding to support community-based events celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Through this initiative, Tofino will receive $37,179 to support local programming that brings residents and visitors together through shared experiences.

As part of this funding, the District of Tofino will host the West Coast Soccer Celebration, which will take place from July 16 to July 19, 2026. The event will feature a range of community-focused activities inspired by the tournament, including a community watch party for the tournament final, with additional details to be shared as planning progresses.

The District gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport.
