Twenty-Five Years of Service Award Presented to Duane Bell and Donny Collins

The District of Tofino is proud to recognize Duane Bell and Donny Collins for twenty-five years of dedicated service with the Tofino Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD). Both joined the department in 1999, and over the past quarter-century, they have played an essential role with the department while also making significant contributions to the community.
District of Tofino Mayor Dan Law and Council presented Bell and Collins with their 25 Years of Service Awards at the March 12, 2025, Regular Council meeting.
“Together, Duane and Donny have given countless hours, energy, and heart to this town. They have responded to emergencies, supported their fellow firefighters, mentored new recruits, and helped shape this department into what it is today.”

In a written statement, Fire Chief Mark McKeough praised their exceptional community leadership:
“Our community is better for the time and effort Duane and Donny have freely given. They continue to set an example for our younger firefighters and continue to contribute to the fire department and community in big ways.”
