A previously scheduled water service disruption for Tuesday, March 31, 2026, along Campbell Street between 740 and 1054 and in surrounding areas has been postponed until Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

The new date and time for the water service disruption are as follows:

Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Time: 9 AM to 4 PM

Impacted Area: Campbell Street between 740 & 1054, including surrounding areas such as Industrial Way & Yew Wood Road.

Reason: The District of Tofino will be installing a new fire hydrant near 940 Campbell Street to improve fire protection coverage in the community.

What to Expect

During the scheduled work period, water service will be unavailable in the affected area. Service will be restored as soon as possible and may return earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

Important Information for Residents

During this period, the District watermain may be drained. Residents are asked to take the following precautions to protect plumbing systems and hot water units:

• Do not use hot water until cold water service has been restored and the hot water tank has had time to refill
• Turn off the breaker for electric hot water tanks for the duration of the shutdown
