The District of Tofino is preparing to bring a new public art mural to the Village Green sports courts, with site preparation and painting scheduled to begin October 4, 2026.

The mural will transform the concrete walls surrounding the basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts with artwork reflecting Tofino’s community, ecology, and culture.

Work is expected to continue until approximately October 20, 2026, subject to weather, site conditions, and other factors.

During this time, the sports courts will be intermittently unavailable as crews prepare and paint different sections. Court availability may change day to day, and residents are welcome to check availability as the work progresses.

Pickleball players can also take advantage of the District’s drop-in pickleball at the Tofino Community Hall most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. Visit www.tofino.ca/recreation for full listings.
