Mayor's Report
Mayor Law spoke to his recent attendance at the 2022 FCM Annual Conference and Tradeshow held in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Mayor Law also recently attended the 2022 Ucluelet Secondary School's graduation ceremony, and expressed his congratulations to all the graduates for their hard work and achievement, as well as to the community members and teachers who have contributed their time and effort to the success of the students.
Mayor Law welcomed newly elected Chief Elmer Frank of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, and spoke to continued collaboration between the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation and District of Tofino Council and staff.
Lastly, Mayor Law provided an update on the Welcome Event that was held for the ʔapsčiik t̓ašii Multi-Use Pathway located in the ḥaḥuułi (the traditional territories and homelands) of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation and Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ. The trail extends through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, and the event included words of welcome, performances, a visit to the pathway, and a shared meal.

ACRD Request for Letter of Support - Long Beach Airport Wastewater and Septic System Replacement and Expansion
Council resolved to provide the ACRD with a letter of support for their application to the Canada Community-Building Fund - Strategic Priorities Fund, Capital Infrastructure Project Stream for the "Long Beach Airport (LBA) Wastewater Septic System Replacement and Expansion".

Invited Presentation from Surf Canada Team
Coach Brown expressed appreciation to the legacy of surfing talent in Tofino, and acknowledged the efforts of all the Surf Canada Team members and athletes, including Team Manager Dom Dominic.
Invited Presentation from Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce (TLBCC)
Jen Dart, Executive Director, presented the details of the annual Fee For Service Agreement between the TLBCC and the District of Tofino. The presentation covered a history and the main components of the agreement, an overview of the organization and core services, and a review of 2021 programs and events including strategic planning in 2022.
2021 Annual Municipal Report
The District of Tofino's 2021 Annual Municipal Report was received by Council, and can be accessed by the public at the Municipal Hall and on the District of Tofino website.

Update from RCMP on Summer Policing Initiatives:
At the June 20, 2022 Committee of the Whole meeting, Sgt. Colin Douglas presented Council with an update on summer policing and community safety, including an overview of 2022 Tofino crime statistics.
