On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, beginning at 07:45 AM, the District of Tofino and contractors will install a water taxi shelter at the First Street Dock.

The District of Tofino is seeking public feedback on the proposed Source Control Regulation Bylaw. The deadline for feedback is January 31, 2025.

The Tofino Volunteer Fire Department is looking for dedicated and community-minded individuals to join its team of volunteers. The deadline to apply is January 8, 2025.

The District of Tofino has not yet begun the 2025 business licence renewal process. It is expected that the District will beginning accepting renewals mid-late December 2024.

On Friday, November 29 and Monday, December 2 there will be water service disruptions on Gibson Street between 350 Gibson Street & Fourth Street.

Due to the ongoing postal strike Utility Bill & Property Tax Outstanding Balance Notices will not be sent via mail. To avoid penalties, the District recommends alternative payment methods.

With heavy rain expected and an increased risk of local flooding, the District of Tofino is offering free sandbags for residents & businesses.

On November 18 & 19, 2024, there will be water shut-offs in the areas of Fourth Street, Gibson Street, & Malon Lane.

Due to the disruption of the Canada Post mail service, residents and businesses are advised to make payments for their utility bills through alternative methods to avoid late penalties by the Friday, November 22, 2024, deadline.
