At the June 24, 2025, Regular Council meeting, staff presented a six-month update on the Limits to Growth Policy.

The District of Tofino is seeking community feedback on two proposed policies: the Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance & Inspection Policy and the Snow & Ice Control Policy.

Please be advised there will be a planned overnight power outage that will impact the entire District from Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:30 PM to Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 5:30 AM.

From Wednesday, June 25 to Friday, June 27, and Sunday, June 29, a section of the Multi-Use Path (MUP) just south of the Tofino Seaview Cemetery will be closed from 7 AM to 7 PM daily.

Please be advised that the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) will conduct several important roadwork projects along Highway 4 between Tofino and Port Alberni from July to December 2025.

With the first full weekend of summer break and Canada Day approaching, the District of Tofino is reminding everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly on District beaches.

A reminder that property taxes are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. A 10% penalty will be applied to all unpaid property taxes received after this date.

The Tofino Free Shuttle returns from June 27 – September 1, 2025, operating daily between 9 AM & 10:45 PM.

Citizens of Vancouver Island’s west coast are asking all overnight vehicle and tent campers to make a reservation at an authorized campground before arriving on the West Coast, and to only camp at authorized campgrounds.

The District of Tofino kindly reminds all property owners and occupants to keep water meter access points clear at all times.
