Representatives from the District of Tofino, Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, Tourism Tofino, and the Tofino Chamber of Commerce met with provincial ministers on July 9 to continue shared advocacy on water infrastructure, tourism reinvestment, and long-term regional resilience.

Residents and visitors are invited to participate in the Tofino Human Mobility Data Study led by Western University, helping to provide valuable information to support enhanced emergency preparedness.

The District of Tofino Municipal Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, for Canada Day. The office will reopen on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 9 AM.

Recent rainfall has helped local water supply conditions, but Water Conservation Stage 1 remains in effect as Tofino enters its busiest time of year.

The Tofino Free Shuttle returns from June 29 – September 7, 2026, operating daily between 9 AM & 7 PM. The bus will offer service between the Tofino Visitor Centre and downtown Tofino.
