2025-2029 Financial Plan

The District of Tofino has begun the 2025-2029 Financial Plan process, and residents are invited to get involved and engage.

West Coast Transit

The West Coast Transit service connects Tofino, Ucluelet, Esowista and Ty-histanis, hitaću, and operates seven day a week.

Short-Term Rental Regulations

Source Control Bylaw

The District is currently developing a Source Control Regulation Bylaw and are asking for feedback from residents & businesses.

Winter & Spring 2022 Recreation Guide

Thank you for your patience while district staff worked hard to ensure recreation programming could continue in line with current PHO Orders and guidance.

This year’s Winter & Spring 2022 Recreation Guide is now out and has a wide variety of programs for all ages.

Mayor Law spoke to the Omicron variant and COVID-19 protocols, including additional precautions in Municipal Hall and other District buildings. He expressed his thankfulness for the community and for vaccines, reiterating how fortunate we are to have these advances and how important it is for government to continue to take care of their communities.

Mayor Law recapped a local government round table hosted by Minister of Municipal Affairs, the Honorable Josie Osborne and Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, the Honorable Murray Rankin. There were over 44 mayors and chairs present for the discussions about local government efforts towards reconciliation across the island.
